Battery Law Information:
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
For used lithium-containing batteries and rechargeable batteries, cover the terminals with tape beforehand to prevent an external short circuit. When disposing of waste electrical equipment containing batteries or rechargeable batteries, these should be removed beforehand, if possible.
Take-back and Recycling: Used batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. Used batteries can be handed in free of charge at public collection points in the municipality and wherever batteries are sold.
Symbolic marking: Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
Further information on the new EU Battery Regulation and the associated obligations can be found on the European Commission's website or at the relevant national authorities.
